The manner by which we manage our assets and our debts will reflect our hearts and effect our lifestyles in ways beyond our control.

In the beginning God created all things and without Him was nothing good created. Therefore, all things in this life, including what we claim by way of “blood, sweat, and tears” belong to the Lord. He is master over our lives, and we show our submission to that authority by managing what comes into our homes with the mindset that we merely invest the Lord’s possessions for Him and His glory.

All things and each life belong to the Lord. He controls them all whether we choose to acknowledge this fact. The money in our accounts, our health, our clothes, homes, and even our children all belong to Him. We dutiful servants of the Almighty must steward them with faith that the Lord will provide for us through His wisdom and find contentment in this life with what we do and do not possess.

In any and ever circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

Practical Application:

• Disregard where you like to think you spend your time and focus. Then look at the power and time usage on your devices (phones, tablets, and computers) to have a realistic look at where these resources are mostly spent.
• Remember each day that you own nothing – not your home, car, children, or even yourself – because all things belong to the Lord. Now manage all things in your possession as though you will have to give an account for each one someday because you just might.
